Find what makes your work easier

Start with the work in front of you, then choose the tools that help you move it forward

Context

Projects, memories, and recent activity

Keep project sources together, save working preferences, or revisit approved recent activity.

  • Computer History Replaces the Chronicle preview

    Optional | Opt-in

If available and enabled, revisit a specific piece of recent work with your permission.

Useful when you need to recover an approved, bounded work detail.

    Set up Computer History
    1. If available and allowed, open desktop Settings → Integrations → Computer history and choose Turn on. Memories must also be enabled.
    2. Choose the apps and sites to include; collection starts after you enable it.
    3. For a question, approve one topic and time window. Verify any useful lead against the current source.

A prompt cannot turn it on or recover activity that was never collected. Availability and workspace approval still apply.

Files and visuals

Share context and create files

Show the relevant screen or use your sources to create a document, spreadsheet, presentation, visual, or Site.

  • Appshots

Show the exact app or view you approve, including supported offscreen context. Leave sensitive or unrelated windows out.

Useful when showing the screen is easier than describing it.

    How to use Appshots
    1. Bring the app window you want to share to the front on your Mac.
    2. Press both Command keys, or your configured Appshot shortcut. Follow any macOS permission prompts yourself.
    3. Check the selected view, then ask a concrete question about it. An Appshot may include available offscreen text as well as the image.

Share only material you are allowed to use. If capture is unavailable, attach a redacted screenshot instead. A prompt does not enable capture or change how attachments are stored.

  • Template Creator

Choose @Template-Creator in Work on the web or Codex on desktop. Add a reference document, spreadsheet, presentation, or Google Workspace link and say what the template should preserve.

Useful when repeat outputs should follow a format you already like.

Research and interaction

Research a question or work in an app

Talk through a task, gather evidence, or point to the part of an app or document that needs attention.

Repeat work

Save a method or schedule a task

Draft a Skill from a reviewed example. Add scheduling only after testing the workflow.

Customization

Plugins and optional companions

Add tools for a specific job or choose a companion for your workspace.
